The Back of Bourke

This was amusing. Having ridden in a bus to the middle of nowhere to camp out with some of the local Aboriginal elder, we stopped in the middle of the railway- bus right across the tracks- to open a gate. While a little unsettling, this gave us the opportunity to make many "What's that rumbling noise?" jokes, and gave us a great photo of the vast horizons. Luckily, the train only comes one every two weeks.
